Topical treatments for eczema: a network meta-analysis

Cochrane Skin are looking for a team to take on one of their high-priority reviews entitled 'Topical treatments for eczema: a network meta-analysis'.

The protocol was published in 2018 (view here) and they are looking for a new team to undertake the review, either alone or in collaboration with the team who wrote the protocol.

Cochrane Skin are looking for a committed team with proven, recent experience of Cochrane review methods, and dedicated time to complete this high-priority review. Potential author teams must plan to adhere to the following deadlines:

31st December 2019: commence systematic review.

31st December 2020: submit full review to Cochrane Skin, that adheres to Cochrane standards and can therefore be sent directly for peer review. Please note that a substandard review will be returned to authors by the Cochrane Skin editorial base, so that changes can be made prior to sending out for peer review. The deadline of 31st December 2020 is a deadline for acceptance of the review as meeting the necessary requirements to be sent out for peer review.

30th June 2021: publication of the review in the Cochrane library +/- co-publication of review in a peer-reviewed speciality or general medical journal.

This is a large and complex review and teams may wish to consider limiting the current inclusion criteria - for example by excluding trials of interventions which are no longer used anywhere in the world and /or excluding trials with small numbers of participants.

Cochrane Skin editorial base will offer enhanced support for authors undertaking these priority reviews, to help ensure adherence to this timeline. Their experienced team will arrange prompt peer review, including assessment by a complex review methodology specialist if required, and will assist you in ensuring you meet Cochrane methodology and reporting standards. Your completed review will be published in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (part of the Cochrane Library), which has an impact factor of 7.755 and is widely accessed and trusted by decision makers.
